When We Danced
After we danced, my feet never wanted to stop moving
When we danced I felt your butterflies interacting with mine
When we danced my heart told me it wasn't going to be the last time
I felt that we were the only ones there
I felt the fireworks dancing in the air
I had mistaken the colorful lights for fireflies
I could feel my feet lift off the ground
I noticed that the roses only grew bigger
After we danced I noticed that I couldn't stop singing
Life became brighter and things started to change for the better
A chapter closed while another one opened
Love of all forms filled the room and all we could see were smiles
When we danced I realized that I wanted to be yours
And after the few years that have passed
My feet still have not touched the ground
