word shaker
You have had me on the
edge of my seat with every word
You utter; from “bonjour madame”
to “you’re mine”
Words that force men to put differences
aside, with such majestic power that
they could cure cholera
Along with a honey-smooth voice
sweet enough to calm raging seas and
loving enough to heal my broken
heart.
I want to collect all your
words falling to the ground
behind you. There I am trailing,
Empty jar in hand, scooping
them up, praying that, in some
way, you will lull me to sleep
tonight.
