She daydreams
To give life to the hope inside
The hope dying with each heartbeat
Each breath she takes
Is one closer to the end
The dreams are ending
A dark cloth sweeps across her face
No hopeful light shines it way through,
And none ever will
After she takes the breath,
The one closest to the end
