Life is a book,
We’re simply turning pages,
Steadily reading on,
Watching the story develop,
Living chapters,
Never knowing what lies ahead.

Always waiting for something,
Never stopping
to just enjoy the moment,
Not understanding how
lucky we are,
Rushing on to bigger
and better things
Even if we skip a page,
We always end up
where we are meant to be,
But life is a book,
And, like all good things,
it must come to an end.

Though all books must end
The story never dies.
Someone else simply starts
Their own book, their own adventure
And while our book may be forgotten,
It is never gone,
As our story lives on in the hearts of those we love.
