Frozen Love
A frozen heartbeat
A space in time
The world slows down
As your ice blue eyes stare into mine
The cold sun dims
And the rain freezes
The snowflakes rise glittering up around us
As your weight presses down on me
I forget my past
You have become my future
The ice reflects the grey of the sky
And life is crystallized
I am frozen in your arms
You are a part of me
The winter is beautiful
And dead
And frozen
And long
So will be the time it will take for me to forget you
The sharp speared flakes swirl and glow
In a blinding blizzard of frozen love
The frost has stabbed my heart
Hypothermia stiffens my bones
And my breath dries up
I look up at Death with welcoming eyes
And my soul fades into the grey of the sky.
