I’m a werewolf
There’s something inside of me that you will never see coming.
The moon is my mother
And my skin doesn't fit me, so I tear it just so
to loosen the seams a bit.
I wait for the night
When you’re all in your beds
And I howl until I can no longer breathe
My neck prickles during sunset
And my skin itches as the sun drops below the mountains
I rush to the basement
Where no one can see me
And I rock away what I’m feeling
The ripping
The growing
The monster inside of me
Devouring what’s left of my little body
Waiting for the hour when the sun will rise
And my fur will shed away like tears
Waiting to be myself again
Waiting...
