Kindness
People gather near,
Tales of love and tales of sorrow,
Tales that will always reappear.
Kindness warmth I’ve never known.
Dig deep into these old bones.
Arms that embrace me,
And hands that push back my hair,
Kisses that wipe away my tears,
And love that comforts me,
Throughout my days.
She tells me it’s okay.
She puts a smile on my face,
As her kindness digs deep,
Into these old bones.
Humming birds fly,
Through the parallel sky,
And clouds float on by.
Petals fall across the floor,
Doors that open,
Stay ajar.
Yet again I feel content,
As people come and bless me with,
Kindness warmth so strong and true,
Only waits to be savored by you.
