I wish I was a cat,
If I were a cat I could be lazy,
Lazy and fat.
I could be just like Garfield the Cat.

Cats don’t have to study,
They don’t have to pay bills,
They could hang out all day on windowsills.

If I were a cat,
I’d snooze all day in the warm, sunny sun.
I’d spend an hour grooming my fur,

And give love to my owner when they get home

But if I were a cat I couldn’t do some things.
I couldn’t read or write,
I couldn’t play video games,
Or watch movies I like.
I’d be trapped all day and all night.

I’d only get to eat disgusting, fishy, brown sludge,
I’d be prone to pulling of my tail by four year old brats,
Plus my owner would expect me to catch and kill rats.

So I guess I don’t want to be a cat.
For I’d rather not eat sludge or rats,
And I certainly don’t want to do my business in a box.
