Deceitful Director
Glance once in the mirror of self-doubt
Directors sweep me away in the play script of glamour and beauty
The image is quite flawed
I cannot preform under these conditions
The media insisting I allow them to direct my path
Being fully content with my own reflection
Yet, striving to be like her
Wanting to pursue something that I oppose
Admiring a distorted ideal of a woman’s appearance
The Media is directing me into an undesirable manner
Walking in the opposite direction
Although, still caught in the crossfires
Reality and the directors’ ideal converge
I am no longer a puppet to deceitful leaders
Images can be altered than so can their script
I will not abandon my path for a duplicitous profile
I am myself, not the directors’ image of who I should be
