Summer Snow
I hardly know
A summer snow
That comes not when the wind shall blow
It gently drifts from cottoned clouds,
Light and happy, free and proud
No hurry, rush, or place to be
They float on lackadaisically
And rest upon the grass and trees
A symbol of the summer breeze
By and by
Up in the sky
A peaceful blue that soothes the eye
A happy morning, God-made day,
A song that carries you away
The wind shall blow
The trees shall snow
A cotton snow, that drifts with ease
The day so fine, your heart so free
That you don't care if you may sneeze
Fluffy, woozy, sleepy, snoozy,
Lazy, hazy, whoopsy-daisy
Float along, and fly, and blow
A cotton-candied summer snow
