Wednesday
The other guys don’t say much,
They just ignore it.
That’s the sickening fact:
They don’t care.
I get pushed and shoved to the ground,
And most days I don’t want to get back up.
It was a Wednesday when everything changed.
My whole world flipped upside down.
Her eyes were emerald green.
Her hair was the color of sand.
I was just me.
Somehow, she didn’t see it that way.
When I was pushed and shoved to the ground that day,
She helped me get back up.
