Sonder
It’s one in the morning and we’ve found ourselves at a diner.
There’s fluorescent lights at your side and stars in your eyes.
It’s times like these when I can’t distinguish my dreams from reality.
Things are beginning to change from the old hazy blue to the new blinding white.
What a strange feeling,
to be floating around the crowd.
Only now we’re walking along the path do things come back to reality.
Because floating too long only leaves you empty.
