Faith, Love, Gravity
They say that faith and gravity are the same.
They hold us to the earth,
keep us from floating away, up into the cloudy dank atmosphere.
They say that love and gravity are the same.
They hold us to the earth
Keep us from floating away, but,
gravity is measurable
love is not.
Love is faith.
I have no faith in your love, because
you say that you love the rain, but when it rains,
you hide inside and cry out,
"Rain, rain, go away!"
I have no faith in gravity, because
every time I look at you, your eyes
I fall into your eyes
I fall into space, like beautiful starry galaxies
Swirling with secrets
I have no faith in your love, because
when I asked if you loved her, you didn’t say,
That her voice,
was you’re new favorite song.
That you would listen all night.
That you wanted to curl up between her heart and her rib cage
and fall asleep to the sweet sounds of her dreams.
I have no faith.
