His love for me was like the sea,
a natural, unstoppable force.
His love filled my lungs and
I sank bellow the currents
like a message in a bottle,
words of desire forgotten, abandoned.
His love for me was like the sea,
a storm so powerful no sailor could save me.
No sense of direction,
lost with no lifeboats in sight.
Ripping waves tore me apart.
Calm spells like false hope
lead to devastating, unpredictable storms.
His love for me was like the sea,
mysterious,tempting me with
his secrets that lie
just bellow the surface.
An abyss filled with life
proved empty and void.
I struggled against the waves
barely remaining afloat.
His love for me was like the sea
and of many, I, a victim.
