Wrong Color
Walking down the street,
You hear the sounds of a six shooter go off down the road.
You duck just as scared as anyone else,
All you wanted was some gummy warms,
But they’re not worth your life.
The cops come coming down the street,
The suspect has fled,
They see you.
Bag and tag that’s what they call it.
I’ve never even owned a gun.
I don’t know how to shoot one,
Why do they think it’s me?
I just wanted some gummy warms,
I tell them that, time and time again.
They don’t believe me.
Six foot and then some,
Strong man;
and just the wrong color.
Guess that means I killed that man.
