Encounter
The door closes and opens at the touch
of a callused hand
the Telephone rings
I can hear them call my name through the wires
Mickey mouse dances on the skin that covers her ankle
in colored ink sworn into the flesh
The gauze wrapped around my limp
arm encloses the throbbing pain trapped inside
“What happened to your arm”
she asks
they all ask with frozen eyes in this June air
the woman with blonde hair and eyes of symphonies
speaks with words of concern and care
and sees the fresh wounds
that crawl upon my battle torn forearms
Announcements
bodies walk in and out passing through
Flip flops and pink tinted toe nails
A crazed crime sleeps
inside my mind as I realize
this act is not mine.
