number one
Things don’t speak to me anymore-
they scream until my lungs fill up with
truth and words cram themselves
into my heart.
You whispered words to me that
My naïve heart had merely dreamed
of; songs that I had memorized
when I was three took on a new,
precious meaning that moment
You came into my life with your
sweet “I love you’s” and men
who shouted their lyrics that I had
previous repelled suddenly grabbed
my by the wrist and spun me around
with a smile on my face.
You turned my world upside down
yet ask me and I promise I would
tell you I wouldn’t have it any
other way, my love.
