Daydreamers
Someday I want to find myself
cherished like the light,
that wanders in circles and never breaks
this pane of glass.
We are safe on the other side,
seeing out or only ourselves.
We tried to be daydreamers
that only find sleep in the night,
wallowing in miseries or relishing in
fantasies
that anyone could claim unimaginable.
I am the hours
ticking by in stares at this wall,
solid and invisible,
and only maybe impenetrable.
All I need is a sign,
like a wind or current breaking through,
telling me the other side is more
than something remaining or immaterial.
A whisper still takes her place,
among the outstretched and long forgotten
voices,
from an untouchable realm
that is not our own.
