yes! The time has set.
Now one second, two
seconds down.
A gasp, blink, and
a wail.
Outside this
stainless wasteland
we
cry for your future. Had
the road been tore out
months ago? By her one free
hand while she
drank to drown—
a quick-shot remedy;
the abuse they
can’t charge for.
Quick, hear this lullaby;
your home forsworn,
smoked to ashes before
you can think.
How does this feel? When
for just this breath in
the air of defiance,
you need call upon your future.
