Feel sorry
The unlucky ones:
The catastrophic winds that blow
The fresh leaves,
Torn from their protective arms
Withered, dying
Too young

Grieve
The bite of an insect-
Toxic venom;
The monotonous drone of a saw-
Tree bodies crash in summer:
An undone society
Labelled
"Failure"

Inhale hope
Autumn's arrival-
The lucky ones;
Leaves grown old,
Memories of beauty
Seizing to live;
The fiery blaze of death
By nature
Desired
