charcoal bones
August 29, 2014
a nervous voice
of stutters stammering,
a mouth that
revealed too little
and showed not enough of
the wild flowers
growing beyond
the soil of her white
pearl teeth.
A red smirk of
destruction carves
his name
deeply into the
bark of her skin.
Dark girl,
inside of her
peach skin.
Dark like
night and
thunderstorms that
screech
down disappearing
streets.
These are the
shadows that swell,
that squirm
and pounce
like his hands
tracing the
blueprint of her body.
Windows darken
into charcoal
drawings as she
passes by
with clouded
Carmel eyes and
a numbness
screaming throughout
her limbs.
