Where I'm Free
I’m from a loving mother
who taught me how to be tender
And from a father who doesn’t know how to spell my name.
I’m from where I live with my grandparents
but it doesn’t matter because mother and I
need more love due to father left.
I’m from where family is my priority,
family is everything that matters.
I’m from absent father to father
And I wasn’t willing
to face.
I’m from where I learn how to accept a new beginning.
I’m from where you learn
it’s all going to be all right.
I’m from where nobody dies
we live happily ever after.
I’m from my bed
where I lay in darkness
thinking about why...
did this happen to me.
I’m from where I think disaster happens.
I’m from where you proceed on
even though the memories are scarred in my mind.
I’m from where I sketch to cope
might be why I have ink on my skin.
I’m from where after I weep.
I wipe it away like nothing ever happened.
