The Void
You were a bright star
everlasting plentiful
abundant with growth
in the first few years of your life
but then you staggered back
from it all
a wobble in your gait
the smile that was plastered
on your pale moon facial plane
forced and lopsided
you wanted to divulge your greatest fears
beneath the morning sky
and it was early still
but we wouldn't hold that against you
we still wanted to talk
for you to voice all the fears
that had been bouncing around
in your mind
for far too long

I was literally going to say that at the time this piece was written I was a bit drunk. But, it was based off of something that occurred during my lifetime. I would like you as the reader, to have your own interpretation of this one.
