Let me put this as simple as possible,
He's gone- I know.
You're hurting- I know.
No matter how many cups of liquor
Burn down your throat,
The drinks will never love you like he did.
The shot you took thats making your world spin,
Is not going to turn into his sweet neck kisses.
You can roll and smoke joint after joint,
And turn your entire life into a daze,
But it won't erase his memory from your mind.
Run as much and as far as you want,
But he won't be there waiting with arms open when you return.
It's the cold, hard truth-

Almost as hard as the alcohol you're swallowing down like the sweet lies he once told.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

This is so honest and raw and full of emtion and just filled with truth. It's true. I can't connect to any of these, but I do know some people do this. I hope more people read your poem, because this is inspiring and filled with truth and beautiful and strong, to me. You really have such a talent and light and greatness in you. You're a wonderful and talented writer. It's true. Thank you so much, for sharing this. :)
