Night Life
Waves lambaste the shoreline
My skin soaks up the last of the afternoon rays
Sand has embedded itself into my toes
Birds fly over me for their last flight of the night
The waves are my lullaby
The sand my warm blanket
My body lies lifeless in the sand
Not a care in the world I have
The sun peaks itself through my squinting eyes
one last time.
Stars start to emerge one by one
Until the sky is twinkling all over with beauty
Nothing to do
Nowhere to be
Nobody to talk too
My mind lets itself wonder to another world
