This thing called hope
We live in the present, hoping for the future
but we don't know what the future has in store for us
still we live in the hope of a better day, week, month or year;
without any sign that what we wish would ever happen,
maybe this is what they call faith maybe,
maybe this is how we all live so close yet
so distant from each other; it makes you wonder
what is so true and what is so credible
about the future, about hope; about this thing
that we look forward to; this my dear, this is
the view of a nation; a nation that lives in
hope yet fears what hope has to offer
