Freedom
I gaze into the wind
As it tumbles and roils and crashes in on itself
And I can taste it in this breathy exhale
Ripening peaches that blush in the sun
The stick of yellow dust that clings to every exposed surface
Crystalline tears of stark blue
Pooling over rocks grass dirt
The uncaging of so many birds
Whose wings catch sparked ideas
And fly with it before there is any time to fall
