The Way I Am
You’re sunshine
I’m a cloud.
You’re the house
That I burned down.
It’s your candles,
That I blew out.
You’ve got faith,
I’m full of doubt.
Can’t be on my own,
I’m so full of need.
You’re the flowers,
I’m the weeds.
You’re the dog
I forgot to feed.
You’re so generous,
But i’m full of greed.
I have my fun
While kicking up sand
When life’s not fun,
I’ll hold your hand
I once got scared,
So I just ran.
I can’t help it,
It’s the way I am.

This was inspired by my inner thoughts. This is saying, even though on the outside I may look happy and positive, on the inside, there are negative thoughts swirling around like a hurricane.
