Just One Dance
I have a problem,
You could be the answer.
Maybe it could be more,
Maybe it could be less.
Just one dance,
That’s all I ask.
Come with me onto the dance floor,
And the floor will become air.
Take my hand just once,
And I promise,
That’s all I will ask.
It’s simple really,
A footstep here,
A slide over there.
Maybe a sway with the beat.
It’s not much I’m asking,
But it will be worth a thousand gold pieces.
How can I say it simply?
For three minutes,
Let it just be you and me.
For three minutes,
Let the world fade away.
You will walk away and forget,
But I will treasure it always.
The song is starting,
So I can’t wait long.
If you don’t come,
I will have to go.
So please,
For three or four measly minutes,
Can I have just one dance?
