Stalked by the King
The King of the Jungle lies patiently in the brush,
noticing as the zebra meanders to the drinking pond.
Resting, waiting, watching, and stalking.
The King makes his move,
attacking as the bewildered zebra realizes its fate.
Hunting, sprinting, surprising, and salivating.
The King catches his prey,
gripping the doomed zebra with his jaws.
Conquering, defeating, winning, and achieving.
The King enjoys his meal,
regathering himself as he stops to eat.
Feasting, biting, tearing, and swallowing.
The King of the Jungle moves on,
searching for another animal to victimize.
Resting, waiting, watching. and stalking.
