Let the Light in
I sway in the wind, so fragile
My legs are weak
From holding the weight of the world
My eyes are the lights
That shine on your innocence
And block out the haze
I laugh and i smile
And nobody notices
The broken girl behind the mask
And i hide behind things I think will shield me
From the harsh outside world
But yet, I still get hurt
This is why I block out
The people that most care about me
Because I end up in pieces in the end anyway
And a boy came up to me
And said
“You can trust me”
He said
“I wont hurt you”
And I believed him
And he helped me
Forgive the world for its harsh ways
And let the light in
