He Who Serves Us
He raises his hand
Pledges an oath
To risk his life
For you and me both
He agrees to fight
For honor and pride
He agrees to fight
To defend you and I
As he fights
He puts his life on the line
To defend his oath
To protect your's and mine
The man of which I speak
Doesn't desire fortune or fame
Just that we remember and honor his name
He knows the risk he takes
But he continues the fight
Determined to defend
Although die he might
He faces death
Every single day
But he remembers those words
He once did say
I remembers his oath
What he vowed to do
Which was to serve our country
To defend me and you
So lets honor him
Show him the respect he deserves
Because remember
It's him who serves
The next time you see
The green, brown, or blue
Remember that it's he
Who protects you
