Every day is a battle.
To wake up is a nightmare.
My dreams are the only things keeping me alive,
Keeping this broken heart beating.
I dream of better days;
Days where I laugh and smile,
Because I don’t have the trauma,
The fear of falling apart.
I dream of the life I know I’ll never have.
The one impossible to anyone in my situation.
I spend my life dreaming,
Too scared to wake up.
