Today's Generation
Dozens of eyes,
Attached to a screen,
Oblivious to the world around them.
All chatter ceased,
As the light brightens their faces,
Alerting of them of an incoming message.
They say we are the next generation,
The future leaders of our country,
I laugh at that,
We are nothing but stupid teenagers,
Unaware of anything around us,
So how can we be future leaders?
Us,
The people who can't go five minutes,
Without checking their phones.
That is what I call absurd.
