Not Afraid

He walks in the shadows and knows who
I am.
Decay amongst springtime, he knows what I am
not
and what I will be.
The great beasts of the earth fall, kings are
afraid
of the unending night.
Love does not quake in the presence
of
the dark angel.
He who is cloaked in sorrow and peace, and sees
the shapes of your soul,
Death.
