Half Gone

Most nights I fall asleep the instant my head hits the pillow, but not tonight.
The answer to that question continues to haunt me.
I have to grit my teeth to hold back the tears, on nights like this, but a few manage to escape.
What am I to do when he is gone?
Who will I be when he is no longer here?
Does he really have to go?
