Idle Years
I'm lying in my bed
Sorrounded by dunes of clothes
Valleys of books and rubbish"
"I should really tidy up in here"
I say to myself
As I grin at my computer screen
"Probably," The screen answers. "In a sec."
"Yeah," I say as I sit there for an hour
Scroll, stop, scroll
No, clean this up
You have no future
Loser
Pig
I'll do it later
"Alligator." The computer answers
What an ugly sense of humor
I should really tidy up
My dad is already complaining
And my mother is already scolding
Whatever
I bite my bottom lip
And play with my clothes
I smell like a recycling bin
But no, I can't
I don't wanna get up
Yes, I should...
Nah, I'll stay here
And sleep away
All these idle years
