is it so hard?

what is so hard about telling someone you love them back?
you know it actually hurts when i say "i love you" and you say "i know."
just once id like you to tell me to my face that you love me
you know it really makes me second guess everything the pass 3 years
is this really what you want?
or is it just to make me happy?
i stopped saying it a lot
i still say it sometimes just hoping you'd say it back
i just want to know whats so hard about telling someone you lve them.
