A New Chapter
Little Tommy Granger
Was warned not to talk to strangers
As he kissed his mom good by
And scampered off to school,
Lunch box creaking;
Peanut butter
And milk on the side.
Across the street his feet pushed
Heart pounding, cheeks aflushed.
His first day of Grade one,
He was prouder than anyone!
He was big now, not a baby,
Full of pride and thinking maybe,
This would be a magic year!
