How could I have known?
How could I have known you would take my heart as if it were always yours?
How could I have known you would gourge on the feast of adoration while I only craved yours?
How could I have known you were sober while I was intoxicated by your skin?
How could I have known you would pawn my most valuable treasure?
How could I have known?
I couldn't have.
But I should have.
Would I have if I knew?
Could've, Should've, Would've.
