Cry: /kri/

Verb

To shed tears, especially as an expression of distress or pain

but how would a book know emotion?

A friend told me the other day that she loves to cry.

To release.

So I say cry for the daughters who were never held by their mothers,

Cry for the mothers who never met their sons,

Cry for the son that everything is constantly revolving around but he's the one burning out,

Cry for the revolvers sending heartfelt messages,

Cry for the hearts taken from the drivers who didn't have a drop to drink,

Cry for the drinkers who have lost sight of what they are here for,

Cry for the blind, the deaf, the mute, the so disabled they can never be alone,

Cry for those who are always alone.

Cry to release.

But wipe the puddled slate to see what we don't cry for.

For the family vacations screwed from the get-go,

For the go-go-go that makes you sleep soundly and eat well,

For the food from the patter be it ancient china or a fast food tray,

For the different cultures and civilizations that celebrate differently for the same,

For the birthday celebrations be it 1, 21, or 91,

For the certain one you share your life with,

For the shared dish at a party,

For the party you that doesn't give in,

but pushes out the tears so you can see the early morning dew that collectively releases the hurt but dries before the highest point of the day.
