To Baseball Players, Stop Taking Steroids
Oh baseball players stop cheating,
Love the game for what it tis;
Or the media will never stop seeking
Your career will be a fib.
The baseball bat, the greatest of them all,
The faster it’s a-swinging,
The sooner it will break and fall,
And shatter with a stinging.
The game was best without drug tests,
When their strength was merely pure;
But now they won’t confess but jest
Their arrogance has no cure.
Those who play with that special juice;
Stop before it consumes you;
And you may keep your name a truth;
Or create a public feud.
