Sphere to Stillness

An opaque sphere sits upon a stiff branch
still and silent.
Long days drift on and life derives,
delicate and dainty.
The hatched emanates,
exemplary and eager.
Years pass and age advances into adulthood
avid and amused.
Life delicately dwindles,
decrepit and deteriorating.
And then wispy breaths surcease
…into stillness and silence.
