I Am Something
I am nothing
Not comprised of anything
I have no one
To shine on me like a sun
I am alone
A misfit, different pieces of fabric,
Together sewn
And yet,
I'll bet,
There is someone who cares,
Out there,
Somewhere,
For I am whole and true and fair,
And good and kind and do I dare,
Say talented and pretty?
People who feel empty inside
Forget there are beautiful things,
Inside of them, trying to stay alive, and thrive;
I am something
