there’s that person
that when you look at them
your heart fills to the brim

there’s that feeling
that when you think of them
you smile threatens to rip you open
sometimes
there’s that person
that when they’re near you
your soul threatens to burst
sometimes
there’s that feeling
that when they laugh
everything goes right in the world
sometimes
there’s that crush
flaming deep inside your being
burning away your reservations
crumbling your walls
until all you have
is raw feeling
