FeeBee
Stronger and fairer,
Beautiful and sweet.
I want you to meet her,
She is quite a feat.
My best friend is FeeBee,
Both loving and kind.
Amazingly graceful,
She’s still on my mind.
She runs faster than wind,
Knows just what to do.
You’ll have to be careful,
So she will trust you.
I’ll bet you are wondering
Who this is, of course.
You probably didn’t think
That this is a horse!

This is a true story and a tribute to a horse I bonded with during equine therapy. I quickly related to her, and after a year at the place I went, she got adopted. I felt like my sister had died, I spent two years mourning her. This poem was entered in the ACSI poetry competition and won ribbons in two divisions. I still cherish my memories of FeeBee today, and hope she is in a happy, safe place. I wouldn't want anything less for my best friend.
