The Black Jack
A sharp edge sliced into the top of the black and orange shell
It instantly released a terrible smell
This pointy tool continued to saw up and down
Until the stinky mound was no longer round
The rotting edges concaved slightly
But complete collapse was highly unlikely
Two hands engulfed themselves into the black hole
Ripping out dark seeds until all that remained was an empty bowl
Two eyes, one nose, and several teeth
Were angrily carved into the black walls beneath
A small flicker of light left a shadow in its smile on this dark night
And it was placed out under the bright moon, giving people much fright
So what could this dark ‘it’ object be?
Stroll by any house this spooky October night and you will see!
