It's great to go to the city 

and visit all the sights 

to see the hustle and bustle 

amid its glittering lights. 

To ride the roaring subways

North East South and West

but come days end I like to wend 

my way home to Demarest. 

Ten miles up the Valley 

about where Jersey fades

nestled majestically 

in the arms of the Palisades 

When God looked up the Hudson 

His eyes travled West 

He raised his Wand said "around 

this pond shall be lovely Demarest"

Here folks shall be happy 

joy surely will abound 

lovers shall stroll the green

and make my world go round 

childrens laughter will fill the air 

for all shall be twice blest. 

Life your eyes to the skies 

and thank God for Demarest!!!
