My Best Friend
He doesn't love me.
He never will.
He said he could see us together if circumstancers were different but he will never have romantic feelings for me.
He's with her.
He loves her.
So why can't I accept that?
Why can't I just accept that he won't love me?
Why do I still fantasize about him realizing his feelings for me.
Why do I try to rationalize any tiny bit of "evidence" that he has feelings for me?
I know he won't (and can't) love me.
So why can't I stop loving him?
