The Little Boy
They hack and hack and hack away,
A piece of me is taken
Every day.
I still have strength, I still have will,
But their hate
Has no fill.
They hurt me until I break down,
They believe that they
Wear the crown.
But little, little do they know,
That I still have
Some strength to show.
I stand, I smile and I fight back,
The bullies are completely
Taken aback.
I laugh and grin and leap with joy,
For you never underestimate
A little boy.
